2D Restaurant

2D Restaurant is Chicago’s first ever mochi donut shop in an immersive environment. This adorable little café is located in the heart of Lakeview. This cafe is an interactive two dimensional comic artopia. You can choose to buy one donut or get a box of six which I will highly recommend! The mochi donuts are absolutely delicious and the flavors are really random and fun.

The coffee was a bit sweet for my taste but I really enjoyed the strawberry milk drink I ordered. This restaurant was actually created by a husband and wife in collaboration with an artist from Chicago named Mia Larson. The environment is so cute and fun and everywhere you look you’ll see a cute hand drawn detail. This is definitely an Instagram worthy café. All of the hand drawn details are simply stunning. They offer new flavors biweekly so make sure you check their website before you go in and grab a bite. Dani and I enjoyed a s’mores, strawberry, churro, blue raspberry, strawberry shortcake and matcha flavored donuts. They also offer fried chicken sandwiches with an Asian twist. I had so much fun taking photos with my best friend Dani. The furniture was super cute and I loved looking at all of the fun drawings on the floors and walls.
